In 2023, the State Government Funded 4 projects ($1,200,527) in the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA through Stronger Country Communities Round 5. The projects included:

  • Upgrade of lighting at Carr Confoy netball courts – installed competition level lighting for 9 netball courts.
  • Construction of new lighting and drainage at Marulan Soccer Field – installed competition level lights and field drainage.
  • Construction of amenities and park improvements at Riverside Park – constructed a disability toilet, picnic shelter/table, tree planting and connecting pathways.
  • Upgrade of Bladwell Park Recreation Infrastructure – replaced old, unsafe play equipment with new, inclusive playground equipment. A cricket net and half basketball court were constructed in the parkland near Finlay and Churchill Streets.

The objective of the Stronger Country Communities Fund Round 5 was to boost the wellbeing of communities in regional areas by providing new or upgraded social and sporting infrastructure or community programs that had strong local support.

These projects have been completed, and council welcomes feedback on the facilities provided.
